Just Turn Up Day October 2017 – Your chance to volunteer in the community

Just Turn Up Days are an opportunity for volunteers, experienced or a beginner, to simply turn up and lend a hand to a project in the community. It is a great, hassle-free way to volunteer your time, whilst gaining an insight into what volunteering involves. ELBA will be holding their next Just Turn Up Day at St Peter’s Bethnal Green on Thursday 12th October 2017.
St Peter’s is a cross-tradition community church in the heart of East London. Volunteers will be helping out in the communal garden. They will be planting bulbs for the Spring and also generally maintaining the garden by clearing any weeds, replenishing soil, composting, and tidying the area.
This is a great opportunity to get out of the office, volunteer in the community and get your hands dirty. You don’t need to be an expert gardener – just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!
