BoardMatch is here!

ELBA’s summer BoardMatch event is fast approaching, but there is still time to register for BoardMatch21, which will be hosted by Lloyd’s of London, 27 June 2023, 5.30-7.30pm.

BoardMatch forms part of ELBA and the BIG Alliance’s BoardBuilders programme and offers our business partners’ employees the opportunity to become trustees of east London- and Islington-based charities. Over the past six-and-a-half years we have placed 360 volunteers into trustee roles.

We recently caught up with Lewis Ridett from Man Group about his experience joining the board of Ascension Eagles, which you can read here.

ELBA encourages you to think about the following:

What experience do I need to be to become a trustee?
We encourage anyone who has a cause they are passionate about and interested in being part of a collective trustee group to join our BoardMatch events. You do not need to hold a particular level of seniority. In fact, diversity on charity boards remains an ongoing challenge for many of our community partners and we strongly encourage those who are passionate about charities and trusteeship to consider becoming a trustee.

I don’t know what role a trustee takes on in a charity?
