Mentoring Works conference and reception
Mentoring Works celebrates 20 years of success this month, and to mark this, we are hosting an afternoon of speeches, presentations and debate, at the offices of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The event will take place on 19 October 2016.
The first part of the afternoon will be a conference, chaired by ELBA’s Chief Executive Ian Parkes, with speakers Ruby Hamid – Senior Associate at Freshfields and School Governor at Haggerston School, Rachel Engel – Regional Head, Macquarie Group Foundation EMEA, Dr Anthony Mann – Director of Policy and Research at Education and Employers and Amrita Das – Chief Mentoring Officer at The Careers & Enterprise Company. Speakers and guests will discuss ‘What is the true value of mentoring?’, ‘What is the business case for mentoring?’, and ‘How do we engage the disaffected?’ ELBA will produce and distribute a report to disseminate learning from this event.
The conference will be followed by a celebration evening, where we will be joined by a number of our school and company partners alongside mentors and mentees, past and present. We will also award our partner companies, schools and mentors for long service and support of the programme and outstanding contributions.
