Ukraine invasion – Tuesday 1 March 2022

The World is watching in horror as events unfold in Ukraine. ELBA stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in this darkest hour. There is no doubt there will be a massive humanitarian fall-out from the crisis, and ELBA will be ready to offer what practical help we can. We can expect a huge flow of refugees and displaced people, for now located in eastern European nations, but eventually that need will be on our doorstep as people arrive in the UK. We are already asking our community partners what requests for help and assistance they are starting to receive. As soon as we have specific requests we will mobilise the resources and support of our business partners, who will undoubtedly want to help as they have done before.
