Recognising Black History Month 2025

October marks Black History Month (BHM). This year’s theme is Standing Firm in Power and Pride; which celebrates the strength, resilience and achievements of Black communities.

Every year, alongside our corporate, community and education partners, ELBA marks BHM by collaborating on targeted activities and events. BHM is a focal point in calendars and ELBA has a selection of activities lined up for 2025.

For example, in partnership with BMS we will be delivering a careers workshop specifically designed for young Black men and women. Attendees will gain invaluable career insights and hear from a career journey panel about their lived experiences. Featuring dynamic games and speed networking, the day will aim to equip young people with professional connections and insight to stand firm in their future careers.

ELBA runs several year-round initiatives that spotlight, celebrate and support Black communities, notably the Parity and Equibalance projects.

In support of this year’s BHM theme, ELBA is firmly committed to utilising our collective strengths to foster a more equitable and inclusive world.
