In celebration of women

It’s Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8 March, and at ELBA we are excited to be marking these key campaigns with a series of profiles and events with our partners.

We showcase women from across our partnership who work hard to support and amplify other women. Read their profiles here.

We are at an IWD marketplace with Alvarez & Marsal, alongside other changemaking organisations, amplifying opportunities and support for women. We will be undertaking some micro volunteering, producing hand puzzles for a local dementia charity. And, the internal women’s network at Alvarez & Marsal will be collecting essential items to make wellness packs for mothers at Hackney Children and Baby Bank.

With our corporate supporters and volunteers, we are delivering IWD 2026 themed Rights. Justice. Action. events in schools where we will explore the power of women in social justice and collective female action. And, we have Career Insight Visits for two east London schools where volunteers from our corporate partners meet students to showcase the diverse range of career paths within their industries.

Alongside a corporate partner, we are delivering a Girls in Finance session, encouraging high school girls to pursue careers in the finance sector by exposing them to elementary finance lessons and introducing them to successful women who have chosen that career path.

Through our Evolve programme – a joint initiative between Societe Generale, UBS, Linklaters, and ELBA – we are hosting a focused collaboration event connecting corporate volunteers and fellow community leaders to explore collective leadership, allyship, and further cross-sector partnerships.

And, we’ll conclude the month with ELBA CEO Julie Hutchinson participating in the Women’s History Month Fireside chat atState Street. Organised by their UK Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage Network (REACH), Julie will talk about her journey to becoming a CEO.
