Exploring AI with young professionals: ELBA’s workshop with My Ends

Written by  Samie John, Employment team

With the ever-evolving landscape of AI, ELBA is committed to ensuring that young professionals across east London are supported in building the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world of work.

As part of this commitment, ELBA has designed a series of AI workshops aimed at opening up conversations about the challenges and opportunities AI presents. While much of the global conversation today is focused on generative AI, these sessions take a broader perspective, exploring the technology, its implications and its role in shaping the future.

The most recent workshop was delivered in partnership with community organisation My Ends, where young participants gained hands-on insight into the latest AI updates and tools. They were provided with demonstrations and practical guidance on how to use these technologies to create a competitive advantage in their careers.

Beyond technical skills, the workshop encouraged critical discussions on AI ethics and policy, highlighting how these themes intersect with core leadership principles within corporate UK. Importantly, participants were not just learners, but contributors, sharing their own perspectives on the role of AI in today’s climate. The session concluded with the central question: How do we use AI to gain a competitive advantage?

The rich discussions that followed reaffirmed the importance of equipping the next generation with not only technical knowledge, but also the ability to think critically about the future of work and technology.

At ELBA, we remain committed to fostering this dialogue and empowering young professionals to navigate and shape the opportunities AI brings.
