Giving back with purpose: Corporate supporters reflect on the 2025 Toy Appeal
Giving back with purpose: Corporate supporters reflect on the 2025 Toy Appeal
By Andrea Rannard-Lambert, Partnerships & Communications Director
As we reach the home straight of this year’s Toy Appeal, we wanted to profile some of the companies involved and what Toy Appeal means to them.
For Brown Rudnick LLP, Toy Appeal is ‘Uplifting, Inspiring, Indispensable’.
Razzaq Ahmed, Brown Rudnick Associate, leads the Toy Appeal efforts in London: ‘My colleagues and I at Brown Rudnick are proud to support this toy drive because giving back, especially to children, truly matters to us. Each year we take part knowing that, somewhere, a child’s Christmas is made a little brighter and a smile a little wider. It may seem like a small gesture, but offering a toy is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways we know to show care and compassion.’
By supporting the Toy Appeal, the firm not only contributes toys but supports social value, helping relieve pressure on families and giving children the chance to enjoy the festive season.
For BIG and ELBA supporter, Macquarie, Toy Appeal ‘provides a sense of connection to the local community…and makes it easy for staff to give back during the festive period’, Rachel Engel, Regional Head, Macquarie Group Foundation.
It’s ‘festive, fun and meaningful’.
‘Give. Share. Connect’ are the three words that spring to mind for Cover Genius.
‘We are involved with Toy Appeal for a simple reason: every child deserves to experience the magic of opening a gift during the festive season’, Anna Burton-Saini, Cover Genius.
‘We know that for many families in London, the current cost of-living crisis has made this time of year incredibly difficult. Participating in Toy Appeal reinforces our culture of care. It’s one thing to say we support our community, but seeing our employees walking into the office with bags of toys shows that they truly live those values.’
For Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), Toy Appeal is an annual affair. ‘Our employees love being part of Toy Appeal every year. They feel good to be part of a community project that helps give local children a better Christmas, and something they deserve’, Anna Stokes, Executive Assistant to CEO, RLAM.
‘Making a difference’ is what Toy Appeal encapsulates for RLAM.
As volunteers enjoy their last few 2025 grotto slots and as community partners swing by to pick up their gifts before sharing them with families, ELBA and BIG would like to thank everyone for their support and to wish you a happy festive period.
