Sweet dreams delivered: ELBA corporate partner donates £10K to Baby Bank

This summer, ELBA’s Community team facilitated Cost of Living support between a corporate partner, who generously donated £10,000 worth of bedtime bundles to our community partner, Mama2Mama Baby Bank.
Mama2Mama Baby Bank is a charity that delivers and distributes baby and young people essentials to families in crisis and those experiencing challenging times within the current economic climate. Mama2Mama work alongside other charities – such as Axis Foundation – accepting donations as well as pre-loved items from the community. Items include everyday essentials such as clothing, baby equipment and hygiene products, which are then distributed to families in need that are referred on by health visitors, social workers and other professionals.
Through the generosity of our ELBA corporate partner, ELBA were able to facilitate the donation of £10,000 worth of bedtime bundles in support of Mama2Mama’s Summer Bedtime Campaign. In two team challenges that took place across the summer at their corporate office, our corporate volunteers packed and delivered all the bedtime bundles which arrived at Mama2Mama, with each bundle including a handwritten note from our volunteers. ELBA and Mama2Mama are extremely thankful for all volunteers’ amazing support with donating, hand packing, and personally delivering to Mama2Mama’s cafe.
Through Mama2Mama’s partnerships they have supported refugees, Children’s Centres and Family Hubs, and Social Services across Greenwich, with baby essentials donated reaching those who need it most: single-parent families on tight budgets, mothers fleeing domestic violence, and working parents increasingly caught between rising costs and stagnant wages. They also hold welcoming community cafés where families can discreetly access essentials like nappies, formula and toiletries, while also connecting with others in a supportive environment.
