Growth, Skills & Innovation: Building Prosperity in East London event, 18 March 2026

ELBA, in partnership with Queen Mary University of London and the East London Civic Advisory Network, are holding a strategic convening event at in Canary Wharf on 18 March 2026. This event offers ELBA partners across all sectors an opportunity to gain direct insight to the key strategic priorities of the region’s public, private and third-sector stakeholders.

We are bringing together business, education, health, non-profits, communities and local authority leaders to share key priorities aligned with regional and national policies. Our aim is to capture diverse perspectives to map local insights and opportunities against wider strategic frameworks – such as the London Growth Plan, Inclusive Talent Strategy, Skills White Paper, NHS 10 Year Plan, and the Industrial Strategy – to build a vision that is ambitious, collaborative and deliverable.

The event will be opened by ELBA CEO Julie Hutchinson, with Canary Wharf Group’s Sir Nigel Wilson covering the evolution of Canary Wharf, along with scene setting from Queen Mary University of London’s Professor Colin Bailey and Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms, Member of Parliament for East Ham. There will be panel representation from Lord Mawson, the Greater London Authority, KPMG, NHS, CWG and Tower Hamlets CVS.

Panels and roundtables will explore how place‑based collaboration can drive inclusive growth, delivering deeper economic and social impact across the region.
