A new academic year signals new opportunities for university students

 In Education, News

The Higher Education team is looking forward to another year of delivery with our University partners Queen Mary University of London, London Metropolitan University, University of East London and the University of Greenwich. Students will soon hear about mock interviews with Credit Suisse as well as opportunities to attend insight sessions at one of our City or Canary Wharf based companies.

This term we will be focusing our insight sessions on preparing for mock assessments as well as specifically hearing from our corporate partners what they are looking for when recruiting staff. We are currently busy recruiting mentors to match to students who are interested in having a business mentor.  Students in the past have found this experience invaluable and some have found work experience placements and internships through the help of their mentor.

Cherise Basslian, Employer Engagement Manager at the University of East London said:

“ELBA is one of our valued partners. They provide excellent opportunities for our students to develop their employability skills through insight events, workshops and career development sessions.”

So, with a new academic year just around the corner, watch this space as we get ready to launch a new range of activities for students!
