When did you join ELBA / BIG Alliance?
I joined ELBA in April 2016, and then later moved into my role in BIG, in 2023.

What is your role and what does it involve?
Overseeing and managing The BIG Alliance, the programme focused on connecting businesses and the community in Islington. I have just started the role, having previously been the Head Of Programmes – Education. I manage the partnerships with our corporate partners and funders, oversee the programme offering and manage the wonderful and hugely talented team at BIG.

Tell us one thing that people may not know about you
Before I figured out what I wanted to do with my life, I saw an ad online to teach English in South Korea…so I did! I lived in a tiny village for a year, teaching primary school students and had the best time.

Tell us the best thing about working for ELBA
The people! I have made many friends for life. It really is such a positive space that attracts wonderful people that care about the world, and our little corner of it.

Name your favourite place in east London and why
Home! I hail from Chingford (yes, it IS in London!!). I live next to Epping Forest, which is where I am most days, walking my dog. I am very lucky to be surrounded by delicious coffee shops, restaurants and pubs, and it is super baby friendly…which is helpful now I have one of my own.
