BoardBuilders draws on the expertise of business volunteers to strengthen the boards of local charities

D

rawing on the expertise of business volunteers to strengthen the boards of local charities, BoardBuilders provides volunteers with an opportunity to engage at a strategic level, applying skills in a new context and developing as a professional. For charities and CICs it offers the opportunity to pitch and recruit trustees from the corporate sector.

How the programme works:
Attend one of ELBA’s BoardMatch events where you will have the opportunity to meet between 12 -15 local charities that are actively seeking new trustees.

Following a BoardMatch event, prospective trustees will have the opportunity to submit a written application to their chosen charity.

If an applicant is successful in being shortlisted by a charity, ELBA will introduce prospective trustees to the charity, where they will be able to interview for a trustee role. Successful applicants will then join the board of the charity.

This programme is suitable for all employees of ELBA and BIG Alliance partner companies regardless of experience, level of seniority or professional background. Community organisations will come from East London and Islington areas.
