Rob is a Managing Director in the financial services industry, with over 25 years of experience in providing operating platforms for investment management and other support teams. She was the Head of Global Business Services at Barings. Since joining the firm in September 2000 Rob has held various global roles, including responsibility for ensuring that over USD 340 billion of assets under management were invested in line with client mandates, applicable market convention and regulatory rules.
Delivering value on the client proposition is key to how she works, building structured processes to manage key middle office and regulatory processes, including transmission of transaction based data to regulators and trade repositories around the globe. Rob was part of Barings’ senior Operations Leadership Team, Pricing Committee and Client Asset Oversight Working Group. She influenced the enhancement of operational standards across the industry, during her tenure as Chairperson of the UK Investment Association’s Trade & Transaction Reporting Sub-Committee. She also sits on the Advisory Board of 10,000 Black Interns.
Rob is passionate about student mentoring, believing that young people can be inspired to realise their full potential when they have first-hand exposure to the achievements of others, who have worked within an asset management firm like Barings. In 2007 she co-founded the award winning Barings’ See the Possibilities (#BaringsStP) student programme. The programme mentors college and university students, allowing them to see the possibilities of how they can build a career in financial services.
Prior to joining Barings, Rob led a London-based fiduciary risk management team for Citigroup. She holds an MBA from Henley Business School, a professional chartered qualification in board room management and the Investment Management Certificate.
