Westfield Facilities team supporting another Newham charity

 In News

Westfield are committed to supporting local communities in Newham, and to demonstrate this, the Westfield Stratford City’s Facilities team dedicated four volunteer days to supporting Community Links, where they helped revamp Arc in the Park in Newham- a well-used, fully inclusive, open access adventure play and sports facility for the whole community. During the four days, the volunteers focused on building a roof for the table tennis area and repairing and transforming the park’s tired and under utilised play boat.

Kevin Jenkins, Co-founder of Community Links said:

“The Westfield crew have been brilliant! Working hard each week they have transformed our inclusive adventure play space, but most importantly they have got the thumbs up from the children. We cannot thank them enough”.

Alyson Hodkinson, General Manager, Westfield Stratford City said:

“We were delighted to work again with ELBA, an organisation we have supported for 2 years. As part of Westfield’s commitment to the community, our Facilities team were thrilled to be able to put their skills to good use in helping the team to brighten up the fabulous Arc space. Working with the ELBA team has been hugely rewarding and beneficial to all the Westfield employees who took part.”
