Uniting for community impact & festive team challenges
Uniting for community impact & festive team challenges
Written by Naimah Miah, Challenge:ELBA Project Manager
As we welcome the autumn season, we are delighted to celebrate City Giving Day which took place on Tuesday 26th September. This initiative empowers City businesses and their workforce to commemorate and highlight their charitable contributions and volunteer efforts, while also inspiring others to participate. It’s a day that truly embodies the spirit of community and giving back. Volunteering is a great team building exercise outside of the office and a great way to give back to the community.
ELBA extends gratitude to the dedicated team from Standard Chartered who recently volunteered their time to support Leyton Jubilee Park. Their efforts included tasks such as litter picking, gardening, and general park maintenance. These acts of kindness play a significant role in improving our community space and making it an even better place for everyone.
As we move on to the festive season, which is fast-approaching, the support of our dedicated partners remains crucial, adapting to the changing seasons and needs of our community partners. ELBA and the Challenge Team are excited to announce that Festive Team Challenges have officially been launched and scoping is well underway; from writing Letters from Santa, cooking and decorating for Christmas parties at community centres, to cracker & wreath making plus many more, the Christmas season is always a celebratory time.
Starting from November and continuing throughout December, these festive challenges will immerse you in the holiday spirit. These challenges provide a wonderful team building exercise with your colleagues while contributing to east London community.
