The crucial contribution of team challenge volunteers to the community

BIG Alliance’s Team Challenge programme is as popular as ever, with a remarkable wave of enthusiasm and engagement from our corporate partners. Since September 2023, 160 teams have participated in practical volunteering opportunities with 45 of our community partners. Driven by a renewed sense of purpose and community spirit, more individuals are stepping up to get involved.
Team Challenges offer an excellent opportunity for purposeful team building while making meaningful contributions to the community. Volunteers have supported our adventure playgrounds, school gardens, parks with various tasks, including general gardening and maintenance, painting, fixing structures, shopping for food banks, and more. The involvement of volunteers is crucial in sustaining the operations of our community organisations and enhancing their value as essential community resources. This is particularly true for community spaces, with Islington only having 13% of green space it is important that we are able to maintain the space that is available.
