Summer Volunteering
Written by Andrea Rannard-Lambert, Director of Account Management and Communication
Volunteering with ELBA during the summer is a fantastic way to give back to the community and gain valuable experience, whilst enjoying better weather.
During the summer months, team challenges are particularly popular with groups of volunteers coming together – sometimes with service users themselves– to get outdoors, enjoy a spot of lunch and make an impact that benefits community partners and service users alike. challenge@elba-1.org.uk
Before the end of the academic year, ELBA offer a wide variety of education activities to help students succeed. Mock interviews, CV reviews or Career Insight Visits all help young people develop important skills and prepare for the future via the Education team. educationworks@elba-1.org.uk
Employability-focused activities extend to local job seekers too, with the Employment team continuously developing activities for volunteers to participate in that can make a last difference to beneficiaries. employment@elba-1.org.uk
Throughout the summer (and year), ELBA supports a range of organisations with their strategic challenges and digital need, to help them achieve their goals and improve the lives of people in the community. If you have time to offer a skill, we can find a community partner that could benefit. community@elba-1.org.uk
Summer volunteering with ELBA is a rewarding and fulfilling experience that can make a real difference in the lives of people in east London. Take a look at Hot Opps or get in touch for more information.
