As ELBA celebrates its 35th anniversary this month, we have been showcasing the brilliant individuals we work with in East London, as well as ELBA employees.
Spearheading the annual Toy Appeal, ELBA’s Head of Community Smera Nadeem tells us about her experience of ELBA before she even joined the charity.
Community partner Magic Me, an innovative arts organisation, also celebrates its 35th birthday this year. Director Susan Langford MBE explains what’s on the horizon for Magic Me.
ELBA’s Merline Douglas started her ELBA journey 35 years ago! Merline talks about her favourite ELBA memories including her work with disability charity, the Tower Project.
One of ELBA’s newer corporate partners, SMBC Group EMEA recently hosted ELBA’s 25th BoardMatch event in our anniversary year. Helen Whitehead, CSR Manager tells us about the six days of volunteering leave employees can access and her personal bathing water volunteering efforts.
From newer partner to founding partner, we have been shining a spotlight on UBS. Patsy Francis, Executive Director, UK Social Impact and Philanthropy, has been with UBS since 1997 and has worked with ELBA for 27 years. Patsy tells us a bit about her role and some of the significant projects UBS has worked on with ELBA.
And, as ELBA celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Eagles graduate programme next year, Samsul Alom shares his Eagles experience to become ELBA’s Group Finance Director.
