Bringing community organisations together
ELBA’s community training day has become an annual event now bringing together community organisations from across east London to share best practice for working with corporate volunteers. The full day event featured presentations from the Challenge:ELBA team and the Connect:ELBA team, as well as a tour of Victoria Park to demonstrate the types of projects that corporate volunteers have worked on in the past.
At the end of the day, the community organisations had the opportunity to network with each other. Hearing positive stories from other organisations that have worked with corporate volunteers often inspires others about projects they could undertake with volunteers. The networking always receives positive feedback and it’s great to see community organisations coming together and sharing their stories:
