On 18 October 2022, ELBA were pleased to welcome 59 potential trustees to our first in-person BoardMatch event since the beginning of 2020. A very grateful thank you to UBS for hosting!

BoardMatch19 supported 15 community organisations – who are actively recruiting trustees – to interact face-to-face with corporate volunteers with an interest in trusteeship.

ELBA’s BoardBuilders programme offers business professionals the opportunity to join the board of a charity or social enterprise in east London and Islington. Three BoardMatch events are held per year, with ELBA’s community partners supported to  “pitch” their organisation with the aim of recruiting board members.

Becoming a trustee is one of the most impactful ways an individual can volunteer their time. While it is a significant commitment to provide strategic long-term support, there are many professional and personal benefits.

Attendees from BoardMatch19 will now have the opportunity to express interest in becoming a trustee through ELBA’s application and interview process.

Our next launch event BoardMatch20 will be open for registration in December 2022.
