Alvarez & Marsal PEPI: a day of learning, growth and connection

ELBA recently brought candidates from our employability programmes together with Alvarez & Marsal PEPI for a Career Insight Day — and it turned out to be one of our most well-received events yet.

The day was designed to give candidates a genuine, all-round look at life at A&M, mixing structured learning with informal connection. It started off with a panel discussion, where A&M colleagues spoke candidly about their own career journeys. Candidates particularly valued hearing from one of the Managing Directors, who shared her own career story and the path that led her to where she is today.

Candidates received 1:1 CV reviews, which turned out to be the standout session of the day. Working closely with A&M volunteers, candidates received specific, actionable feedback which, for many, was the first time anyone had pointed out exactly what wasn’t working and why.

Candidates spoke informally with a former ELBA candidate who is now working at A&M, who shared his own pointers on what it takes to get into the firm, with support from the rest of the A&M team on hand to answer questions too.

The day closed with lunch and networking, with candidates praising how well organised the networking was and said they’d love to do it all again!
