Please tell us about yourself to give readers an understanding of your journey
Before joining ELBA’s RISE programme, I wanted to enhance my confidence and refine my skills in financial analysis, communication and leadership. I had many insecurities about my abilities. Through my participation with RISE, I have been able to overcome my insecurities and grow both personally and professionally. The programme has been the perfect opportunity to challenge myself, learn from others and develop further.

How did you hear about ELBA?
I first heard about ELBA and the RISE programme (funded by Standard Chartered) through my  University’s career website. The programme immediately stood out to me, and I saw it as a great way to gain professional insight and valuable mentorship.

Please tell us about how ELBA has supported you?
ELBA has been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. I had insightful discussions with the team, participated in skill-enhancing sessions and received invaluable mentoring. A special thanks to my mentor Glen, whose guidance and productive sessions played a crucial role in my development. Hind at Standard Chartered and ELBA’s Siobhan also provided tremendous support, always going above and beyond to help me bring out the best in myself. Their encouragement and advice helped me build confidence in my skills and navigate my career path with greater clarity.

What difference has this support made to you/your challenges?
This support has made a significant difference in my personal and professional growth. It has helped me overcome my initial insecurities, refine my financial and analytical skills and develop a stronger sense of confidence in my abilities. Through this programme, I have gained practical insights into the professional world, improved my communication skills and built meaningful connections that will support my career journey.
