Looking to have a meaningful impact in your community? Consider becoming a charity trustee

ELBA & BIG Alliance are preparing to host our 25th BoardMatch event on the 10th of October. BoardMatch forms a key part of our BoardBuilders programme which helps to recruit trustees for charities and social enterprises in east London and Islington. Over these 25 events and through ad hoc placements, ELBA has supported the placing of over 415 trustees, equaling a minimum of about 2,000 hours of volunteering.
Becoming a charity or social enterprise trustee is a big commitment, with encouragement to serve at least 2-3 years on a Board, but it is also one of the ways to have the greatest impact. It is an opportunity to support the community using your professional and personal skills and experiences, while also growing your leadership skills and being able to think strategically. We strongly believe that everyone has something to offer as a trustee as long as they are passionate about the organisation they are supporting.
To learn more about what becoming a trustee means, attend the information session on 19th of September at 12pm, register here.
We would love to see you at BoardMatch25 where you will have the opportunity to meet 12 east London and Islington community organisations looking for passionate trustees.
